Concert of the Youth Mozart Orchestra

The Youth Mozart Orchestra, abbreviated as MOM, is a project initiated by the Warsaw Chamber Opera with the future of classical music in mind. Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians, this special initiative was created for exceptionally talented young people.

From dozens of applications submitted from all over Poland, a jury led by the Director of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, Dr. hab. Alicja Węgorzewska, selected “The Magnificent Twelve.” Under the attentive and caring baton of Adam Banaszak, the musical director of the MACV Orchestra, and with guidance from the orchestra’s concertmasters, these young musicians will spend several days in June perfecting their craft.

The culmination of their hard work will be a special concert at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio, conducted by Ana Liz Ojeda Hernández, concertmaster of MACV. Whether any of these young artists will continue their journey with the Warsaw Chamber Opera remains to be seen — what truly matters is that they seize this rare opportunity to work alongside the very best.
