We invite you to “Snack Opera”, an original series created and hosted by Jerzy Snakowski. Through conversations with artists and live musical performances, we will explore Mozart and the fascinating world of his operas. Together we will discover his musical passions, his fondness for celebrated singers, the performances he attended, who made up the audiences of his operas, and what theatrical customs shaped the operatic experience of his time.
We will also ask whether Mozart truly remains the unsurpassed model for every composer, how his music resonates with audiences in the twenty-first century, and why his operas continue to captivate both performers and listeners alike.
The musical programme will extend beyond Mozart’s own works. Alongside his music, we will perform works by composers who responded to his genius—some with admiration, others with rather less enthusiasm. Remaining true to the unique concept of Snack Opera, the audience will decide which pieces they would like to hear.
Join us in celebrating Mozart’s genius in the unique atmosphere of an interactive operatic adventure. May this operatic “snack” leave you eager for even more Mozart.
Your choice – our music!
