We invite you to a new installment of Jerzy Snakowski’s original series, “Snack Opera.” Through conversations with performers and the music they bring to life, we’ll get closer to Mozart and his operatic universe. We’ll explore his musical passions, his fondness for pampering sopranos, the performances he attended, who made up his audience, and what theatre customs were like in his time. We’ll also ask: Was Mozart truly an unmatched model for all composers who followed? How does his music resonate in the 21st century? Do his operas still captivate both listeners and performers?
In the musical part of the evening, we won’t limit ourselves to Mozart’s works alone. You’ll also hear music by those who admired—or perhaps appreciated—Mozart in their own way. What remains unchanged in the Snack Opera format is the rule that the audience chooses the repertoire.
Join us in celebrating the genius of Mozart in a uniquely interactive operatic experience.
Let this operatic “snack” awaken your appetite for even more Mozart!
Your choice – our music!
