Doyen and Master\, an undisputed authority in the field of jazz piano and improvisation\, a classic and an ever-searching composer. The album WELCOME BACK\, ADAM\, which was released in June 2023\, is a summary of the composer’s work\, tying the last forty-five years of his activity—from his departure to the United States and the release of his first overseas album titled Adam in 1978. “Forty-five years ago\, as the musician recounts\, after arriving in New York\, I recorded my first album for Columbia Records titled Adam. This album was a turning point\, a kind of watershed moment in my playing and perception of jazz music. The departure was a complete exploration of new musical paths\, far from European jazz. After years of playing with the best jazz musicians all over the world\, I play completely differently now. Today\, I would like to share my music—the result of many years of experience and exploration”. “Welcome Back\, Adam” is – even in its title – a reference to the first American album. It contains 17 tracks\, including 8 original compositions and popular standards—a repertoire in which the artist feels great. Throughout his illustrious career\, he has performed in famous American jazz clubs and the most prestigious concert halls in the world. It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to host and listen to him live.
