In the programme of “Spanish Night”, you will find the most famous and beloved Spanish pieces inseparably associated with the guitar, such as “Requerdos de la Alhambra” by F. Tarrega, “Romance de Amor” and “Asturias by I. Albeniz, arranged for guitar and baroque orchestra by Krzysztof Meisinger. Krzysztof Meisinger has performed these individual pieces from the “Spanish Night” programme multiple times with orchestras all around the world, always captivating the audience. Now, all these compositions have been gathered into one incredibly appealing programme titled “Spanish Night”, which will also serve as the basis for Krzysztof Meisinger’s upcoming album for the British record label CHANDOS.

Krzysztof Meisinger – according to critics and music enthusiasts from around the world, he is considered one of the most outstanding and charismatic classical guitarists. He works with such classical music stars as Sumi Jo, Philharmonia Quartett Berlin and Academy of St Martin in the Fields. His talent has been compared by international critics to that of Piotr Anderszewski or Pepe Romero, and among his mentors are great guitarists of our time, including Aniello Desiderio and Christopher Parkening. He performs worldwide, from Tokyo through Los Angeles to Buenos Aires, giving concerts in the most prestigious venues such as Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, Tokyo International Forum, Berlin Philharmonic, Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, and the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw. Krzysztof Meisinger’s debuts at the Berlin Philharmonic and Musikverein in Vienna were received with minutes-long standing ovations. He works with top orchestras such as the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, PKF – Prague Philharmonia, Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish Chamber Orchestra, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonietta Cracovia, alongside the following conductors: Wojciech Michniewski, Krzysztof Urbański, Jose Maria Florencio, Marek Pijarowski, Michał Klauza, Agnieszka Duczma or Łukasz Borowicz.

He has performed at numerous festivals, including the Polish Music Festival in Cracow, Usedomer Musikfestival, Music Festival in Łańcut, Jerzy Waldorff Festival in Radziejowice, “Music in Old Cracow”, Music Festival in Łańcut, National Philharmonic Summer Festival, La Folle Journee de Varsovie, “Toruń – Music and Architecture” or Festival of Laureates of Music Competitions in Bydgoszcz.

He regularly appears with the most prominent musicians of the international music scene, such as Sumi Jo, Simone Kermes, Agnieszka Rehlis, Alicja Węgorzewska, Iwona Sobotka, Soyoung Yoon, Juanjo Mosalini and Daniel Stabrawa.

His recordings receive numerous awards and excellent reviews from the global music critics. To this day, he released 10 solo albums, as well as made many guest appearances on other records. Among his solo albums are recordings made at the famous Abbey Road Studio in London with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields (Melodia Sentimental), with Sumi Jo, Prague Philharmonic and Philharmonia Quartet Berlin (Meisinger), with orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia (Astor and Astor – live at the Opera), and with the baroque orchestra Poland baROCK (Vivaldissimo). In May 2020, Krzysztof Meisinger signed an exclusive 3-year record contract with the British label CHANDOS. His debut solo album for this label “Elogio de la Guitarra” has received fabulous reviews and was honoured with the “Best of 2021” Award by AllMusic. In May 2022, in a poll by the British portal uDiscoverMusic, he was recognized as one of the 20 greatest classical guitarists of all time.

As a conductor, he has worked, among others, with Sinfonia Varsovia, Warszawska Opera Kameralna, Choir of the Maritime Academy in Szczecin, and numerous philharmonic orchestras. From 2010 to 2015, he was a regular guest conductor of the Capella Bydgostiensis orchestra. A laureate of the “Gloria Artis” Medal, Artistic Award of the Mayor of Szczecin, “Pro Arte” Award, and the Individual Award of the Minister of Culture.

A founder and artistic director of the MEISINGER Music Festival– an annual music festival held in Szczecin since 2017. Since the foundation of MMF, it has featured numerous renowned artists such as Ivo Pogorelich, Sumi Jo, Piotr Anderszewski, Mariza, L’Arpeggiata, Alena Baeva, Janoska Ensemble, Daniel Stabrawa, Sinfonia Varsovia, Soyoung Yoon and many other outstanding musicians.
